BRAUN - Technology leader since 1848

In 1848, the ancestors of the present owner, DI Martin Braun, founded a factory for files and forged commodities, I.BRAUN's sons, in castle Schöndorf in Vöcklabruck (Upper Austria). Up to 1989, in addition to files there had been manufactured more and more production machines (forging machines, abrasive cutting machines, core drills) and hydrosteel structures. This required a division of the company in order to assure the best possible attendance to customers.

The new BRAUN Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co KG manufactures the following machinery:

-Hydrosteel structures:

Design, construction, delivery and assembly of trash rack cleaning machines, weirs, bulkheads, fixed wheel gates, stop logs, turbine

emergency gates, desilting plants, bulkheads and the corresponding control technology.

-Steel cutting and grinding machines:

Hot and cold abrasive cutting machines with the corresponding conditioning equipment and automatic controls for the steel industry.

-Concrete cutting machines and drilling rigs for the construction industry:

Special core drills and wall saws for diamond tools with all accessories.
